Ingrid offers Couples and Individual Therapy both In Person and Online.
Hey! My name is Ingrid. Welcome!
Whether you’re finding it difficult to cope, or to understand certain life circumstances, perhaps overwhelmed by the uncertainty of change, or experiencing distress that comes with the ebbs and flows of your closest relationships, you and I will work together to discover solutions for you.
Returning to post secondary education as an adult, embarking on a career change and as a mother of two young adults who continue to teach me a thing or two every day, life has been a series of changes and growth opportunities that have motivated my determination to adapt and take different steps to cope.
I bring that drive into my work with you. I want you to feel heard, respected, and accepted in order to build a trusting relationship where you can explore and reflect on all aspects of your right-here, right-now challenges. That is the starting point. Part of my time is spent volunteering with youth involved in the justice system to help keep non-violent, school-aged young offenders out of jail. On a yearly basis I actively participate in professional development courses and workshops to remain current in my field.
Quality time spent with family and friends, a flavorful cup of coffee and participating in physical activity are a few of the things that I am passionate about. A daily mindfulness practice gives me the ability to remain conscious and pay attention when life happens. So, when I am about to drink that first cup of cappuccino in the morning, I am not distracted. I embrace that moment on purpose.
