Starting mid-April, Couples Therapy Centre is offering a 2-day Intensive couples therapy in addition to the existing 3-day Intensive program.
Do you feel you need a good deal of help with your relationship? Does regular couples therapy feel too spaced out for your needs? Our intensive program may be fit for you.

What are the differences between the 2-day and 3-day intensive?
The main difference between the 2-day and 3-day intensive is how the time is divided. As the name suggests, the 2-day intensive is over two days, meaning two 6 hour days and the 3-day intensive over three days, meaning three 4 hour days.
The 2-day intensive occurs over a weekend. The 3-day intensive typically takes place three consecutive days in a row from Wednesday to Friday or alternatively three Fridays in a row.
It is important to note that this information is general. Details may differ couple to couple depending on your needs.
How does intensive couples therapy work?
Each partner meets individually for a screening session with Joseanne. This is to assess for contraindications, understand your attachment histories and to hear both perspectives individually. Before this screening session, each partner must fill out an intake form.
The purpose of this screening session is to ensure that the intensive program is right for you. But not to worry, most couples meet the criteria!
After the screening, the intensive sessions are scheduled either over 2 or 3 days depending on your preference.
How does intensive therapy differ from regular couples work?
Our Intensive programs, whether 2 day or 3 day are a condensed form of couples therapy. It addresses issues deeply and rapidly rather than the typical months that couples therapy can take.
Who do intensives work well for?
Intensives can be helpful for couples at any stage in their relationship. They work best with couples with high motivation to mend their relationship. Intensives may be suitable for you if:
