Personally Speaking
Whether you’re navigating personal struggles, relationship issues, or big life changes, I offer a flexible, compassionate approach tailored to your unique experience. I support individuals seeking clarity, healing, and personal growth; couples hoping to reconnect, rebuild trust, or improve communication; and teens working through anxiety, identity, or family challenges.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported. I approach therapy with warmth and curiosity, drawing from holistic and evidence-based practices that meet you where you are.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand how vulnerable it can be to open up to someone new. I’ll work with you to build a space that respects your voice, your story, and your pace. Together, we’ll strengthen your coping tools, improve your relationships, and help you feel more in control of your journey.
I bring over five years of experience supporting individuals with complex mental health and developmental needs in both residential and community settings. I work from a client-centred, trauma-informed lens, and am particularly skilled at helping:
-
Teens and young adults navigating emotional regulation, neurodivergence (ASD, FASD), identity formation, and life transitions.
-
Parents and caregivers seeking support around parenting stress, burnout, and understanding children's emotional or behavioural needs.
-
Neurodivergent individuals looking for affirming, compassionate support with day-to-day challenges, self-understanding, and emotional resilience.
-
Individuals and couples feeling stuck or overwhelmed by stress, low mood, or relational struggles, and who are seeking a space to feel heard and validated.
I have facilitated DBT-informed groups, co-developed emotional regulation programs, and have experience supporting individuals in crisis with tools like de-escalation, validation, and mindfulness. I am also trained in suicide intervention and committed to culturally sensitive and LGBTQ2S+ affirming care.
I'm currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I also hold an Honours BA in Criminology and Psychology from Lakehead University and a Children’s Mental Health Certificate from Georgian College.
If you're ready to take the next step toward a healthier, more fulfilling life, I’d love to support you on your journey.
