Therapies Practiced: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, Polyvagal, and Somatic approaches.

Session Fee: $150 + HST for individuals, teens.

Personally Speaking

 

Kendra originally started her career 10 years ago as a Child and Youth Counsellor working in a variety of settings. She currently also works at the school board providing support to students who are faced with social, emotional, behavioural and developmental challenges. Kendra develops and implements preventative programs to foster a healthy school environment, in collaboration with other mental health professionals, school staff, their families, and the community.

​

Kendra utilizes an array of evidence-based practices that encourage positive personal growth and change, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused, Trauma-Informed Care, and more.  Kendra works from an anti-oppressive and strengths-based perspective, while utilizing an array of evidence-based practices that encourage positive growth and change. She aims to meet individuals where they are at by incorporating key techniques that focus on stress reduction, cognitive reframing, and guided discovery.

 

In addition, Kendra’s ability to realize the widespread impact of trauma and recognize the signs and symptoms trauma has on individuals and their families has expanded and contributed to her overall
knowledge and ability to integrate the most applicable interventions and practices.

Kendra works collaboratively to ensure that all your individual needs and goals are being addressed, while also developing a strengths-based treatment plan that fits with your lifestyle and readiness. Kendra provides a safe and comfortable environment for individuals to work through problems and discover new ways to grow and adapt to life's everyday challenges.

Outside of Kendra’s professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and being outdoors going on hikes, being on the beach and spending time at her cottage.
