Are you in conflict with your partner or family member? Do you find yourself in the same arguments that never seem to be resolved? Do you find yourself feeling sad, frustrated, lonely, disconnected, resentful, angry? Have you lost trust in them? We sometimes find ourselves in negative cycles of behaviour – pursuing, attacking, disconnecting or withdrawing from each other. Maybe you’re feeling desperate to change this dynamic but nothing you do seems to help?
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we can replace these negative patterns of interaction with positive ways of communicating that allow you to feel loved, supported and emotionally connected. EFT, regarded as the gold standard for relationship therapy, is a short-term therapy that normally consists of 10-20 weekly sessions. EFT is supported by extensive research and produces excellent and lasting results. You will learn how to resolve conflict and cultivate or renew deep and meaningful bonds, as well as cultivate personal strengths and supports.

You’ll receive tools that will help you tame the negative cycle, to be able to express yourself in a way that allows your partner or loved one to be empathetic and supportive. Learn to control your emotions so you can live in love, harmony, understanding and emotional connection. You’ll have the confidence that no matter what the issue, you can talk with your loved one and they will be there for you.
I work from a wholistic and collaborative perspective to promote emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health. I bring vast and varied life experiences and am competent working with couples and families of varying age, race, culture, socioeconomic background, sexual orientation, gender and ability. I have an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have post-graduate training in EFT, IFS and CBT.
I’m a Certified Personal Trainer with CanFitPro. In my spare time, I like to work out, hike, bike, kayak, sail, ski, skate and spend time in nature. I like to share these experiences with family and friends, especially my adult son. I enjoy challenging myself with a healthy diet, exercise, emotional practices and spiritual awareness. As well, I enjoy community engagement and travelling to learn different worldviews and perspectives, to better understand people, their cultures, practices and unique ways of living and being.
